VALD Performance Testing in Chardon, OH
Stop guessing. Know exactly where you stand.
You train hard, but you're not sure what's actually improving. Or you're coming back from an injury and someone just told you, "looks good, you're cleared." Without real numbers, it's hard to know if you're ready, or what to work on next.
You deserve more than a guess. You deserve testing that shows you the truth, and a plan built from it.

We know how frustrating this is
Most of our clients come to us after other treatments didn't work. We know how discouraging it is to hurt, feel stuck, and not know who to trust. That's why the Doctors of Physical Therapy at Chardon Performance Therapy start by listening, until we understand your story and your goals.
We've helped thousands of active people regain confidence, strength, and control, even after other treatments didn't work.

How it works
1. Share your story. We start with your goals, your sport, and any injury history, so we know which tests matter for you.
2. Get tested and get answers. We run your testing with VALD force plates, dynamometry, and speed gates, then walk you through your report in clear, simple language: your strengths, your weak links, and how you compare side to side.
3. Train with an accountable guide. Your results become your plan. We build your program from the data and retest, so you see your progress in real numbers.
Who it's for
High school and college athletes, teams preparing for a season, athletes returning from ACL or other injuries, and active adults who want to train smarter. We've run combine testing for local high school programs and turned the results into clear reports for athletes, parents, and coaches.

Don't stay stuck
If you train without data, you can work hard for months on the wrong things, or return from injury before you're truly ready. Let's measure it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in Ohio?
No. Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a referral.
How long does testing take?
Most individual testing sessions fit within a single visit. Team testing is scheduled around your program's needs.
Do you take insurance?
We're out of network with all insurance companies. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and many clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits. We'll walk you through your options on a quick call.
What is a force plate?
A force plate measures how much force you produce, how fast, and how evenly between your legs when you jump, land, and move. It shows things the eye can't see.
Can you test our whole team?
Yes. We've run combine-style testing for local high school programs and provide reports for each athlete and the coaching staff. Book a call to plan your team's testing.
Do I need to be injured to be tested?
No. Many athletes test before a season to find weak links and track progress. Testing is also a key part of our return to sport process after injury.
