Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow Physical Therapy in Chardon, OH
Your elbow hurts every time you grip, lift, or swing.
Shaking hands hurts. Picking up a coffee cup hurts. Your elbow aches after a round of golf, a pickleball match, or a day of work with your hands. You've tried a brace, rest, maybe a cortisone shot. It calms down, then comes right back the moment you get busy again.
You deserve more than baseline care. You deserve a provider you can trust, and results that actually last.

We know how frustrating this is
Most of our clients come to us after other treatments didn't work. We know how discouraging it is to hurt, feel stuck, and not know who to trust. That's why the Doctors of Physical Therapy at Chardon Performance Therapy start by listening, until we understand your story and your goals.
We've helped thousands of active people regain confidence, strength, and control, even after other treatments didn't work.

How it works
1. Share your story. Your initial assessment is a 75-minute, one-on-one visit with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We listen to your goals, your history, and what you've already tried, so we understand what truly matters to you.
2. Get a comprehensive care plan. Elbow pain is often driven by the shoulder, wrist, grip, and how you swing or lift, so we look at the whole arm. We measure grip and arm strength with dynamometry and compare side to side, so your progress is tracked in real numbers.
3. Work with an accountable guide. Your follow-up sessions are a full hour, one-on-one. We use hands-on care, dry needling, and a progressive tendon strengthening program, so your elbow can handle your sport and your work again.
What to expect
In most cases, pain is gone within the first month, and often much sooner. But getting out of pain is only the start. Our custom plans of care average about 3 months, with one goal: keeping you out of pain and performing at your highest potential.
What our clients say
"I worked with CPT for about 3 1/2 months while recovering from an injury that affected my career as a musician… addressing strength training and functional rehabilitation in my left elbow and wrist. Megan and Brad were extremely thoughtful and thorough with my care, creating personalized exercises that imitated my physical music performance motions."
Chris G. ★★★★★
"Brad has helped me with my workout techniques to increase the muscles in and around the shoulder as well as the tendinitis I had in my other arm. On top of the weight training work out to rehab everything the dry needle process instantly made everything feel better."
Michael B. ★★★★★
"I fell and sustained complex breaks in my elbow, and also injured my wrist, hand and shoulder… The entire team helped me not only regain my mobility but find 'myself' again."

Don't stay stuck
If you wait, elbow tendon pain tends to linger for months and keeps flaring every time you get active. You lose time, momentum, and the activities that make life meaningful. You don't have to accept that.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in Ohio?
No. Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a referral.
How long are the sessions?
Your initial assessment is 75 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, always one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
How long until my elbow feels better?
In most cases, pain is gone within the first month, and often sooner. Plans of care average about 3 months, so you stay out of pain and come back stronger.
Do you take insurance?
We're out of network with all insurance companies. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and many clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits. We'll walk you through your options on a quick call.
Should I just rest it?
Rest alone rarely fixes tendon pain for good. Tendons get healthier when they're loaded the right way. We'll show you how much is safe to do now and build you back up step by step.
Do braces or straps help?
A strap can ease pain in the short term, but it doesn't fix the problem. Building strength in the tendon and the whole arm is what keeps the pain from coming back.
When should I see a doctor instead?
If your elbow looks deformed after a fall, you can't bend or straighten it, it's hot, red, and swollen, or you have numbness or weakness in your hand that's getting worse, see a physician or go to urgent care right away.
