Pinched Nerve in the Neck Physical Therapy in Chardon, OH
Pain shoots down your arm, and you can't get comfortable.
Your neck hurts, but the worst part is the burning, tingling, or numbness running into your shoulder blade, arm, or fingers. You can't sleep, can't find a comfortable position, and you're worried about weakness in your hand. Maybe an MRI showed a pinched nerve or a disc problem.
You deserve relief, clear answers, and a plan that gets you back to your life.

We know how frustrating this is
Most of our clients come to us after other treatments didn't work. We know how discouraging it is to hurt, feel stuck, and not know who to trust. That's why the Doctors of Physical Therapy at Chardon Performance Therapy start by listening, until we understand your story and your goals.
We've helped thousands of active people regain confidence, strength, and control, even after other treatments didn't work.
What we help with
Pinched nerves in the neck (cervical radiculopathy)
Arm pain, numbness, and tingling
Pain between the shoulder blades
Neck disc bulges and herniations
Arm weakness and grip loss from a nerve
Symptoms after a car accident or fall
How it works
1. Share your story. Your initial assessment is a 75-minute, one-on-one visit with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We listen to your goals, your history, and what you've already tried, so we understand what truly matters to you.
2. Get a comprehensive care plan. We find which positions and movements ease your arm symptoms and which make them worse, check your strength, reflexes, and sensation, and explain what's going on in clear, simple language.
3. Work with an accountable guide. Your follow-up sessions are a full hour, one-on-one. We use hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, and a strength program built for your life and your sport. We stay invested in your progress and push you toward higher performance, not just symptom relief.
The good news
Most pinched nerves in the neck get better without surgery. Arm symptoms often ease first as the nerve calms down, then we build neck, upper back, and shoulder strength so the problem is less likely to come back.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in Ohio?
No. Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a referral.
How long are the sessions?
Your initial assessment is 75 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, always one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
How long until my arm feels better?
In most cases, pain is gone within the first month, and often sooner. Plans of care average about 3 months, so you stay out of pain and come back stronger.
Do you take insurance?
We're out of network with all insurance companies. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and many clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits. We'll walk you through your options on a quick call.
Will I need surgery?
Most people don't. When your symptoms point toward a surgical consult, we'll tell you right away and help you get there.
Should I wear a neck collar?
Usually not for long. Gentle, guided movement typically helps more than keeping your neck still.
When should I see a doctor instead?
Go to the emergency room if you have weakness in both arms or legs, trouble walking or with balance, clumsy hands, loss of bladder or bowel control, or symptoms after a serious accident. See a physician soon if arm weakness is getting worse.
