Cash-Based Physical Therapy in Chardon, OH

Physical therapy built around you, not your insurance company.

You've been to physical therapy where you saw a different person every visit, shared your therapist with three other patients, and got a sheet of exercises. Your insurance decided how many visits you got, and you ran out before you got better.

You deserve one-on-one care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy, for as long as it takes to get you there.

One-on-one conversation at Chardon Performance Therapy in Chardon, OH

What cash-based physical therapy means

Cash-based physical therapy, also called fee-for-service or concierge-style physical therapy, means you pay us directly instead of us billing your insurance company. That lets your Doctor of Physical Therapy decide your care with you, not an insurance plan.

We've helped thousands of active people regain confidence, strength, and control, even after other treatments didn't work.

What you get

  • A 75-minute first visit, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy

  • 60-minute follow-up visits, always one-on-one

  • No visit limits or insurance approval delays

  • The same therapist who knows your story

  • Hands-on care, dry needling, BFR, and VALD testing in every plan where they fit

  • A free phone call before you book

  • HSA and FSA cards accepted

How it works

1. Share your story. Your initial assessment is a 75-minute, one-on-one visit with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We listen to your goals, your history, and what you've already tried, so we understand what truly matters to you.

2. Get a comprehensive care plan. We explain what's going on, what it will take, and what it will cost, up front, in clear, simple language.

3. Work with an accountable guide. Your follow-up sessions are a full hour, one-on-one. We use hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, and a strength program built for your life and your sport. We stay invested in your progress and push you toward higher performance, not just symptom relief.

Our three-phase approach

1. Pain management. We start by getting you out of pain.

2. We move you. We guide you through the movement and hands-on care your body needs.

3. You move you. You build lasting strength with a plan you own, so you don't need us forever.

How payment works

We're out of network with all insurance companies. You pay at your visit, and we can give you the paperwork to submit to your insurance. Many clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits. We accept HSA and FSA cards. For auto accident cases, we work closely with your auto insurance representative.

Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a doctor's referral.

What our clients say

"This is where you should come for physical help, it's not like most Physical therapy clinics since they aren't encumbered by insurances and can treat you as a whole, not just a singular diagnosis that restrict treatment protocols."
Jill S. ★★★★★

"Even though they're an out-of-network provider, they helped me navigate the insurance process, and I was able to get reimbursed without issues."
Ryan O. ★★★★★

"Although paying out of pocket was initially unfamiliar and uncomfortable for me, I discovered that my insurance would reimburse me at the plan rate, easing any financial concerns."

Don't stay stuck

If you keep cycling through rushed visits and capped benefits, you lose time, money, and momentum. Let's do it right the first time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in Ohio?
No. Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a referral.

Why don't you take insurance?
Insurance companies often limit visits and push clinics to see several patients at once. Being cash-based lets us give you a full hour, one-on-one, every visit.

Will my insurance reimburse me?
Many plans with out-of-network benefits do. Call your insurance and ask about out-of-network physical therapy benefits, and we'll walk you through it on a quick call.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards.

Is it worth it?
Our clients often need fewer visits because every visit is a full hour with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Plans of care average about 3 months, with one goal: keeping you out of pain and performing at your highest potential.
