Baseball and Softball Physical Therapy for Throwing Athletes in Chardon, OH
Your arm hurts when you throw, and the season isn't waiting.
Your shoulder aches after you pitch. Your elbow is sore after practice. Your velocity is down, or you can't make the long throw from the outfield without pain. You've rested, iced, and taken a few weeks off, and it comes right back when you start throwing again.
You deserve care from a provider who understands throwing athletes, and a plan to keep you on the mound.

How it works
1. Share your story. We learn your position, your season, your pitch counts and throwing load, and any injury history, along with what you and your family want from this season.
2. Get a comprehensive care plan. Throwing is a whole-body skill. We test shoulder strength and range of motion with VALD dynamometry, look at your hips, trunk, and legs, and explain what's driving your pain in clear, simple language.
3. Work with an accountable guide. Your follow-up sessions are a full hour, one-on-one. We use hands-on care, cupping and dry needling when they help, an arm care and strength program, and a step-by-step return to throwing plan.
Workload matters
Arm injuries in young pitchers are closely tied to how much they throw, including pitch counts, rest days, and pitching year-round. We'll help you and your family build a smart throwing plan, using guidelines like MLB and USA Baseball's Pitch Smart recommendations, so your athlete stays healthy all season.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor's referral for physical therapy in Ohio?
No. Ohio law lets you see a physical therapist directly, without a referral.
How long are the sessions?
Your initial assessment is 75 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes, always one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Do you take insurance?
We're out of network with all insurance companies. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and many clients are reimbursed through their out-of-network benefits. We'll walk you through your options on a quick call.
Does my athlete have to stop throwing?
Not always. Sometimes we adjust the throwing load while we build strength. We'll give you a clear plan for what's safe.
Do you work with young athletes?
Yes. We work with young throwing athletes and their families, and we keep parents informed every step of the way.
Can you work with our coach?
Yes. With your permission, we're happy to share a throwing plan with your coach.
When should I see a doctor instead?
If your athlete has pain right over a bone or growth plate, felt a pop in the elbow, has numbness or tingling into the ring and little fingers, or can't straighten the elbow, see a physician right away.
