🎄 Massive community project + hard lesson learned

Every year I try to do my small part to keep Chardon looking beautiful. This time-lapse shows me putting up Christmas bulbs on the arches as the final touch to a project I have committed to for the last 3 years on the Chardon Square… but here’s the truth:

I made a mistake.
I didn’t ask for help.

A project that could’ve taken an hour or two with a small team took over 40 hours of my time over 2 weeks— time I should have spent with my family.

And it made me think…
So many of our clients come in after months of trying to handle their pain or injury alone.
Not because they can’t ask for help — but because they don’t want to “bother anyone,” or they think they can push through it.

But the cost is the same:
time you don’t get back with the people you love.

From Thanksgiving through Christmas, let’s make sure no one in our community goes hungry.

Chardon Performance Therapy is helping fill our local Community Food Cupboards — small neighborhood cupboards stocked with food and essentials for anyone who needs them.

How you can help:
• Donate non-perishable food items
• Bring toiletries, hygiene products, or basic household necessities
• Drop them off at our clinic anytime during business hours. If you'd prefer to donate money, our clinic will be going shopping to fill the gaps in donations and we'd be happy to shop on your behalf.

Every item goes directly into the 2 (Mel Harder Park & Water Street) Little Free Food Pantries in town so families can access support immediately — no barriers, no questions, just community caring for community.

🛑Stop lifting overhead ➡️ONLY if you are lifting without stretching your shoulder joint capsule first. If you feel pain at the top of your shoulder joint, your rotator cuff muscle is likely getting pinched and with repeated stress can lead to an injury that takes most adults out of upper body lifting UNLESS they get this addressed with a team like ours 🏋️‍♀️to fix the muscle, improve the joint mobility, and retrain the shoulder joint complex so you can perform in areas you did not believe were possible before!

Strength training is essential for building tendon resilience. Incorporating eccentric exercises, such as slow and controlled lengthening movements like heel drops for the Achilles, helps strengthen tendons and improve their capacity to handle stress. Mobility work, including dynamic stretching and foam rolling, enhances flexibility and reduces stiffness, promoting better movement mechanics.
